A letter from Pat Dunn...
I want to congratulate the newly elected City Council and the new mayor, Allen Thomas. I wish him and the next council well. I encourage all of us to work together to continue to build a great city that will make us all proud and will ensure quality neighborhoods in which to live and raise a family.
Serving this city as mayor for two terms, and City Council At-Large representative for three terms has been a great honor. Meeting and working with citizens all across the city has been among the most rewarding experiences during my time in public office. Your help and support during some of the best of times and some of the most challenging times are greatly appreciated. You have worked diligently to help make this city a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.
To all who worked tirelessly and unselfishly for my re-election, I am deeply grateful. For every financial donation I am most appreciative. Personal words of encouragement and appreciation since the election have been especially meaningful and I thank you. Finally, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the employees of our city and the professional management staff that deliver the services every day that are so important for our city. It has been a pleasure to work with you.
